OLD LYME PLANNING COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING
JANUARY 8, 2015
PRESENT WERE: Harold Thompson, Steven Ross, Chris Kerr and Robert McCarthy and Alternates Todd Machnik, Don Willis and Barbara Gaudio.
Chairman Thompson called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Don Willis was seated for Edgar Butcher.
BLACKBURN SUBDIVISION – BLACKWELL LANE – REQUEST FOR BOND REDUCTION
The commission received a letter from Ronald J. Swaney, Commercial Construction on behalf of the applicant David Blackburn of 16 Blackwell Lane requesting to release the bond being held in conjunction with the construction of the roadway/driveway entrance.
Thomas E. Metcalf, P.E. visited the site to inspect the roadway. He noted the work completed to date is satisfactory but due to the time of the year final completion cannot be done until spring. Metcalf recommended that $11,759.00 of the $23,831.00 bond be released. The town will retain $12,072.00 plus the $1,150.00 Erosion and Sedimentation Bond.
Chris Kerr made a motion to partially release the bond as recommended in Tom Metcalf’s letter dated January 5, 2015. Don Willis seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
AMEND AGENDA
Steven Ross made a motion to amend the agenda to add the Reading and Approval of the December Minutes. Chris Kerr seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
READING AND APPROVAL OF THE DECEMBER MINUTES
Steven Ross made a motion to waive the reading and approve the December Meeting minutes as submitted. Chris Kerr seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
